The Relationship Intelligence Course includes two modules, Protecting Your Future and Maturing Your Love.
Protecting Your Future is a reality-based presentation and includes discussion of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), how effective condoms are and how STDs can easily spread. The importance of goal setting, the effects of alcohol use and the effects of viewing pornography are discussed. Refusal skills are practiced during the presentation.
Maturing Your Love changes the focus to the more personal concerns of each young person to have a successful, happy and healthy life. Qualities desired in a marriage partner, the effects of uncommitted sex and teen pregnancy, the nature of real love, the importance of telling the truth, Five Star sexuality, the meaning of the act of love, the role of commitment in a relationship and the meaning of marriage and parenting are discussed. The meaning of being a parent is discussed along with the “success formula”. Returning to virginity is discussed for those who want to make a new start. The influence of media is another covered topic
